It’s fascinating as a product designer to see how top tier companies run research or testing. By no means is the google phone a prototype, but in Howard Yu’s article you can read between the lines that the team at Google have very strategically placed themselves at the frontier of lifestyle tech-eco system that is ahead of the times. Just like a well executed character in a Scorsese film, Google’s expansion into voice-and chat-bot technology have allowed that character to grow into this depth-charge that sees it’s products extend their fringes into our daily lives.
